Deelvraag 1: Welk beleid heeft de overheid van IJsland beschreven op het gebied van criteria, curriculum en toetsing en hoe wordt dit uitgezet in de diverse typen onderwijs (PO, VO, WO).
Criteria:
Tijdens de presentatie kwamen de volgende omschrijvingen aan de orde:
Philosophy: “The aim is to prepare students for specific jobs within the field of education and to give them opportunity for further education.”
De doelen werden kernachtig weergegeven:
- A social approach to disability
- The UN Convention on the rights of Persons with Disabilities (2007)
- Inclusive education
Curriculum en toetsing
Aangaande het curriculum werden de volgende twee uitgangspunten gedeeld:
- “Give each student the possibility to have an individualised education based on his or her strengths, interests and chosen field of work.”
- “Give each student the possibility to gain practical knowledge and social skills in a inclusive learning environment.”
Bij toetsing kwamen de volgende eisen aan bod:
De vorm waarin de toetsing plaats vindt is formatief. De uitwerkingen die genoemd werden zijn essays en films.
